Healthy Weight Management Program

Is an opportunity to change the way we think about ourselves and our relationship to food and activity. It is a specific coaching program that empowers you to create lifestyle change that promotes a healthy weight for the long term. The program follows a “person centered approach to healthy weight management”, developed by Dr Rick Kausman (If not dieting, then what?) and is usually conducted for small groups (8 participants) over 10 weeks. During the program you will:
- Learn the inherent risks both physically and psychologically of dieting and why diets do not work!
- Learn why “weighing” is counterproductive and often promotes poor self esteem and negative behaviour patterns, a “vicious cycle”.
- Develop achievable and sustainable behaviour goals that promote a healthy weight.
- Undergo a comprehensive lifestyle and nutrition analysis.
- Have weekly information sessions, giving you the knowledge and skills to make healthy choices.
- Develop strategies that improve your intuition with food:
- Become aware and reduce “non hungry eating”.
- Become aware of your hunger/ fullness and satisfaction.
- Develop a healthy attitude towards food.
- Have the opportunity to apply what you learn each week.
- Create weekly nutrition and exercise goals that recalibrates your energy balance and promote a healthy weight for the long term.
- Be accountable! Success is achieved through monitoring, follow up and support.
