She continues to explore new challenges and as Mark Twain once said …”Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones that you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Shane Yost
After spending 11 years on the global stage as a professional athlete, competing, exhibiting and teaching his sport throughout the world, Shane saw his next career step, as a way to impart some of his knowledge and experience on to others. “This was such a logical step for me, sporting achievement was one thing, but seeing the benefits of some sound positive advice and motivating others, has given me a greater sense of joy”.
Shane has been a personal trainer for 3 years, and has coached various aspects of Inline Skating for over 10 years, as well as competing at state level soccer and athletics during his schooling years. Shane is currently coaching Inline Speed skating in his spare time, and has represented Australia at the Oceania Speed Skating Championships for the past 3 years.
With solid groundings in Kettlebell, Martial Arts, Suspension training, Weightlifting, Resistance and Functional training, Shane believes that you don’t have to train yourself like an athlete to gain the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. “Just being active, getting moving and kick starting ones metabolism can be a real step in the right direction to feeling great and being healthy. Variety is the spice of life, so why get hung up on the same old running or gym routine? There are so many activities out there. Why not find something you enjoy and have some fun in the process of becoming fit and healthy”.
